Mr. Muehling has over 20 years experience in investment banking, transaction advisory services and public accounting.  His investment banking experience covers the full spectrum of M&A and capital raising transactions, including:

  • Sale of CSI Global Education ($155M CAD) to Moody's Corp. (NYSE: MCO)

  • Buyside advisor for a middle market private equity firm pursuing distressed ethanol plants under a loan-to-own structure

  • Buyside advisor to a public company pursuing distressed RV assets and related parts suppliers


Damon has advised on over 75 M & A and corporate finance transactions and over 30 buyside due diligence engagements for middle market private equity firms.  Prior to joining Fort Dearborn, Muehling served as Vice President of Hammond Hanlon Camp where he oversaw their Healthcare Investment Banking unit.  As a Vice President at BMO Capital Markets and two boutique investment banks, Damon was responsible for sourcing and execution of M&A transactions.  Damon also previously worked as an Associate at A.G. Edwards Capital Markets and a Manager of Transaction Services at KPMG, LLP.
